We normally have club meetings on the last Saturday of each month from 3:00 - 5:00pm, where we hear a bee related lecture from a visiting expert, relax over tea and cakes, and enjoy a chat with fellow beekeepers. In addition, there are regular hive inspections and occasional activity days as advertised. The Covid-19 restrictions have meant that we were not able to meet in 2020 and early 2021, but we are now resuming our activities See our Calendar page for details.
Each year we run a course of 10 classes, including practical sessions at our apiary in Dartford. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, these have been disrupted and the next course is scheduled to run over Winter 2021-22. If you are interested in beginning beekeeping, please contact any of the club comittee who will be able to advise you.
If you have a swarm or a nest of honey bees we can usually help to remove it for you. For more information please see the Swarms page.
